The reserve has some of the highest dunes in the region with views over the pan, characteristic to the Kalahari. There are 150 species of birds and a variety of game such as giraffe, kudu, zebra, oryx, blue wildebeest, eland and much more. The well-known suricate or meerkat is also to be seen, although they are very scarce. Cheetah feeding allows one the opportunity to come up close to the cheetah, great for taking photos.
Bagatelle has a variety of horses suitable for children, beginners, intermediate and advanced riders. Experience the Kalahari’s silence on our well-trained quarter horses (cowboy horses) accompanied by a guide.
Star viewing is available using a state-of-the-art computerised telescope. Planets, brilliant star clusters, galaxies and the Moon will be revealed to you by the Resident Astronomer.
How to get there:
Qatar Airways offer flights from London to Windhoek, via Doha, four times a week on a 787 Dreamliner aircraft. Daily connections are also available from Johannesburg. Bagatelle is a 270kms drive from Windhoek, offering beautiful scenery on mainly new tar road.[widgetkit id=141]
