This is a space which breathes elegance and style, serving as a backdrop for the best Churchill's has to offer – its wines. “Churchill’s philosophy behind this venture was based upon the notion that the enjoyment of a glass of Port requires a state of wellbeing.” Tailor-made tastings of our Douro Wine and Port are offered in our tasting Room, which has a spectacular view of the Rio Douro and Oporto city. These technical tastings will be conducted by qualified Churchill professionals and will allow an insight into the fascinating and glamorous world of Port wines and the opportunity to learn and distinguish between their various styles. Churchill’s Visit Center also offers a rare opportunity for vintage Port Tastings, focusing on the singular and unique characteristics of this Wine, which is generally considered to be one of the great Wines of the World. Our latest Vintage Port, Churchill’s Vintage Port 2011, as awarded with an outstanding 97 points by Wine Spectator magazine. Founded in 1981 by John Graham and his two brothers Anthony and William, Churchill’s was the first British Port wine company to have been established in over 50 years. In only 30 years of trading the company has built an enviable reputation for producing Port Wines of the highest quality, reflected by their impressive performance at comparative tastings over this time.
